Club Projects
HOME AND TRADE SHOW
This event, run every two years by the Rotary Club of Bairnsdale showcases local businesses over two days. The latest Home Show was held in April 2010 and made a profit of $10,000.00. These funds have been designated to a future project, a sound shell to be located in Bairnsdale.

GOLF DAY
This popular day on the golfing calendar is run annually in April with the co-operation of the Bairnsdale Golf Club.

CHANGING LANES
The Club assists with the administration of this program, through a committee comprising of members from all three Rotary clubs, called Positive Futures. The program helps disadvantaged young people who have difficulty in finding employment.

CENTENARY HOUSE
All the Rotary Clubs of District 9820 were involved in the building of this complex, designed to accommodate families of patients undergoing treatment in the oncology department of the Traralgon hospital.  Our Club, along with many others, raises funds for the ongoing operational costs and proposed extensions.  Members also attend working bees.

MARQUEE RENTAL
The Club owns a portable marquee which is rented out for weddings, etc.  Club members erect the marquee wherever it is requested.  This is a great opportunity for fellowship.

GALLIPOLI STUDENT EXCHANGE
Each year we host students from Turkey and assist in sending two local students to experience ANZAC Day in Gallipoli.

BOWEL SCAN
The Club co-ordinates this important health initiative throughout the Bairnsdale area.  The scheme has been running for 25 years.  It gives an indication of the presence of polyps or cancers in the bowel.  Early diagnosis can lead to successful treatment of this life threatening disease

CEMETERY
We have financed the building of two shelters at the cemetery.  The Club plays an active role in maintaining these and a section of the grounds.
